Welcome. One Bird is an invitation to rediscover your connection to nature through the power of listening. In a world that is becoming increasingly noisy, the daily bird song offers a moment of grounding.
This project is based on the conviction that we can find healing through attention. Current scientific studies, including those by the University of Tübingen (Source), prove that "active listening" can contribute decisively to lowering blood pressure and the stress hormone cortisol. Because bird song signaled a peaceful, intact environment to our ancestors, this archaic "all-clear" signal still acts directly on our limbic system today. Even a short daily dose of natural sound can help alleviate feelings of anxiety and noticeably improve your mood for many hours. It is not about simply consuming noises, but about consciously turning towards the sound.
